How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6021861 / WPW10466420 Turntable Motor

Instead of buying $300+ new microwave. I simply ordered a new turntable motor. Was extremely simple to replace. Love AppliancePartsPros.com! 

I looked at several similar replacement motors available from various sources. Cheap ones, Expensive ones, but was in doubt that any of them were exactly what I needed. Replaced the turntable motor. 

I installed a new Turn Motor and it went great. 

Microwave was working fine but the turntable wasn't working. I ordered the new turntable motor, Googled how to install and fixed it. It was quick and easy and saved us $400 that we didn't have to spend on a new microwave. 

I replaced the spacer, motor - turn and the cooking tray coupler. It took a little longer to fix than I figured but that was due to my old age. Upon completing the repair the microwave worked like a new one. The total cost of the parts was a lot less than a service call to my home. Replaced motor. 

The part arrived in a timely manner and it was an easy fix. Fit perfectly and I had it done in a few minutes. Glad to have a properly functioning microwave again! 

I did an initial search online. I have a KitchenAid microwave. All of my searches came up with Whirlpool, so It created some confusion. I stumbled on AppliancePartsPros. I called and I spoke to Michael. He explains that basically, Whirlpool bought everyone up. He confirmed that I had the same part on my screen as what he showed. I went ahead and placed my order with him over the phone, and I had a couple of other basic questions. I expected to have my part maybe in the middle of the next week. I called on a Thursday. I was shocked to see that my part was expected the next day. Indeed, it came fairly early in the day, and it took me maybe 30 minutes to install the new motor. The longest part of that was getting the screws to line up properly on the cover I had to take off. My microwave is working now. Thank you Michael!
