How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013836 / WP9742945 Spray Arm Retainer

Just had to unscrew broken threads out and screw on new nut 

Purchased replacement part. 

I could see the one part was broken holding the spray arm in place, but did not know what it was called. The photos on the web made it easy to figure out what I needed. Appreciated the feature that offered up other parts bought together. The retainer actually broke into two parts. I used a bent needle nosed plyers to get the old part off. The rest was easy to take apart and put the new parts in. 

Removed broken spray arm retainer and replace with new one 

Your kind people directed my to the proper repair parts( I was about to order the wrong ones) they double checked my order and i am thankful they did 

I found the part number on broken part. Ordered new retainer and washer. I just had to install two new parts to fix the problem. No tools required. 

Took the old one out and it screwed right in. No problems at all! 

Replace worn nylon ring bearing new parts easy fix. 

By hand in a couple minutes. 

Simple task. Just remove the old parts by hand and replace with new. Took longer to find the parts on line than it did to replace.
