How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6018786 / WPW10289489 Door Shelf Bin

Note, I want to clarify since nothing else makes this clear, that this is exactly the correct bin to fit the bottom shelf (designed for milk etc) on the 'wider' of the two doors in my KitchenAid French Cabinet Refrigerator. This bin is the largest of the several bins used on the doors of this fridge - the others are more narrow (for facing door) or not as deep (for above this bin). I was keeping my fingers crossed that I'd ordered the right bin and was very happy with the result! 

Bought a replacement shelf. 

APP rocked, I searched for the parts online, they had all 3 parts I needed and even price matched one that I found for a little less at another location. All 3 parts arrived the next day!!! Parts were exactly what I ordered, unfortunately one came slightly damaged. With one phone email showing a picture of the damage and a phone call, they immediately shipped a replacement which again, arrived the very next day!! Outstanding service, thank you APP 

I originally bought a knock-off Maytag door bin, thinking it would fit. NOPE. Found this website, ordered the correct bin (for the same price as the knockoff!) and it fit perfectly. Fast service, easy to find, great experience.
