Brian M Lombard , IL March 31, 2017 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL Dryer motor and blower wheel. The dryer was a later model, 1998 ish. I knew the motor was bad because it was locked up. I decided that I would give it a try and searched for the part. I found it at Appliance parts pros and watched a video on replacing the motor. I ran into a little hiccup trying to get the blower wheel to free itself from the shaft. I was into it already, so I ordered the blower wheel as well. Once i had both parts, the rest was simple. The video definitely helps. The parts came quick and the dryer is back up and running. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers

Eric K Canton , IL February 02, 2016 Appliance: Estate Electric Dryer TEDS680EQ2 The dryer was leaving brown skid marks on clothing After noticing the brown marks on the clothing I proceeded to inspect the dryer. It was easy to see that the felt ring at the back of the drum had deteriorated completely and was letting the drum rub on back of dryer removing the paint. It was also collecting dirt around the same ring. Upon taking apart the dryer, I decided to replace the front plastic bearing rings, the drums felt ring on back, a new belt, rollers, lint chute gasket, blower housing gasket, and also repaint the back of the dryer and the inside of the drum. I easily found and purchased all parts including paint on this site. After sanding, complete dryer cleaning, repainting, and installing all new parts the dryer works good as new with no more marks! Great videos on the site also! Thanks Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set, Wrench Set
Oscar B Staunton , VA February 06, 2015 Appliance: Roper Dryer REX5634KQ0 Drive motor bearing failed Replaced the motor. While in there, I replaced the blower wheel because it was fused to the old motor, the rear drum support wheels, and the seal on the lint screen housing. Everything was an exact fit with no drama. Never having done this before, it took a while (and some skin) to align everything as it went back together. Especially the drum alignment and the front panel with the clips at the bottom and the screws at the top (a two person job in our house). Otherwise, after watching the videos on YouTube, the job was smoother to accomplish than I had imagined it would be. Thanks especially for the videos! Read More... Joe F Morrow , OH January 02, 2015 Motor bad and fan blade stuck to old motor I popped the clips holding the motor down off disconnected electrical connector, and then could not get fanblade off to pull motor off. I ended up drilling from back of unit through the front center of fan blade all around the shaft area. Motor came out no problem, but fan blade and seal were destroyed. Once parts received (2 days) I installed all with no problem! I was also able to vacuum out all the dust accumulation and (knock on wood) she is drying as good a new machine!! Thanks Joe Read More...
