How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5737110 / W10612022 Dryer Drum Felt Seal

Replaced the felt drum seal. Dryer operates like new now! The replacement process was very straightforward and the video from AppliancePartsPro.com helped ALOT! 

Following instructions on the u-tube videos. 

I ordered the drum support rollers and followed the how-to video. It was super easy to fix and the dryer runs like new. Also, the rear drum felt seal was easy to install and my clothes are drying a lot faster. I have never fixed an appliance in my life but was able to complete these repairs by myself. I tested thermostats for continuity as well as heating element, then checked for continuity in heating element case to terminals and bingo! Had short to the element housing. I also replaced the roller bearings and felt seal as this dryer is getting old. There was a good improvement in dry time with the new seal, and it's a lot quieter with the rollers replaced. Everything was easy to do myself, although it took some time to get old felt seal off. I ended up using a dremel tool to get old adhesive off and it cleaned up nicely!
