How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5737110 / W10612022 Felt Drum Seal

My dryer needed a lot of fixing. So I replaced the Felt Drum Seal,Drum Rollers,Bearing Ring for Front Support, Thermal Cut Off, Hi Limit Thermostat, and Cycling, Thermostat. So the Felt Drum Seal fixed the problem of clothes getting stuck and torn as well as The Bearing Ring for Front Support. The loud banging and noises were fixed by the Drum Rollers. And the dryer stopping after 20 mins were fixed by replacing Thermal Cut Off, Hi Limit Thermostat, and Cycling Thermostat. I really appreciate the videos on how to do this because without them I would have never been able to fix anything on the dryer. I now have an almost new dryer and did not have to go buy a new one. If I can watch these videos and fix my dryer. I am pretty sure anyone can. 

Did a general overhaul of the hardware. Replaced the drum belt, drum pulley, drum support rollers, and felt drum seal. Also, internally did an overall cleaning. Dryer is now running smoothly and no metal-to-metal or pulley squeaks. 

Disassembled dryer. Removed old seal. Cleaned drum area and installed the new seal. Allowed glue to dry overnight. Reassemble dryer. 

The belt had worn away for the second time. This time I examined the drive pulley closely and found it had worn away into two pieces. I did not think that would be possible before seeing it. In the future, I will replace the pulley every time I replace a belt. Otherwise it was a standard repair. 

Replaced the felt drum seal 

Disassembled the dryer and found visually a section of the felt seal was worn away. Watched the repair video which had great tips. Including using spring clothes pins as clamps to hold the felt seal while the glue set up for 2 hours. 

Previously replaced control knob. Now I replaced the dryer rear seal, replaced the drum rollers and added a new belt even though it didn't need one. Now I can watch football in the basement and I don't have to put the volume up high. Collected $29.00 worth of coins out of the bottom of the dryer; don't tell the wife! 

The first thing I did was watch the AppliancePartsPros videos. I thought it was the idler pulley but when I got in there it was the fan. The fan has stripped out. So I watched that video and ordered the fan. It was simple to do by following the videos step by step. The most difficult part was replacing the felt drum seal (mine had a tear in it). It took a minute to get the glue right so I didn't get it all over me and everything. Note: wear nitrile gloves! AppliancePartsPros saved me from purchasing a new dryer. My old one runs quietly like a champ now! 

These were replacements while fixing coils. 

Replaced all parts that was ordered from my model number. Had to want felt drum seal too dry before installing.
