How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6015486 / WPW10131825 Oven Temperature Sensor

I replaced both the upper and lower oven temperature probes in an effort to correct the un-even oven temperatures. I've had issues with this oven ever since the Autocleaning system was utilized. I used my digital temperature probe system to monitor the oven temperature and found that the oven wouldn't hold steady with a fluctuation of more than 50F _+/-. Changed the probes and after a couple of hours of cycle time, the temperatures are now closer to 25F+/- which is tolerable. Easy repair. Removed oven doors and grates, then shut off the Oven breaker in the house's main electrical cabinet. Located the temperature probe in the upper right top of the oven. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, removed the probe and gently pulled out the wire/plug. Reverse order to complete. 

The oven is in a closed cabinet so the heat generated by self cleaning has nowhere to go. Therefore the outside of the oven gets very hot during self cleaning which causes the thermal fuse to fail. If the oven had better ventilation within the cabinet it might have survived self cleaning From now on I will not use the self cleaning feature. I probably only needed to replace the thermal fuse, but since the oven had to be removed I decided to replace the oven sensor as well. I did not want to take the oven out again if the thermal fuse didn't fix the problem. The replacement of both items was very easy and the videos were helpful. 

Replaced thermostat in oven and replaced the control switch on the cooktop burner that was not working. 

Replaced bake element and sensor 

I ordered my parts with appliance pats pro, which they made real easy to find. Ordered my parts and recieved them the next day. Replaced the thermal overload and sensor. It was simple, it took me longer removing my oven out of the wall then replacing the parts. 

My son and grandson decided the problem, on Sunday night 9 or 10 p.m. ordered from you. got message shipped Monday about 1 p.m., then decided late Tues. that hadn't checked for arrival, so about midnight checked. said delivered at garage door. I went down then and there it was! The best service I've ever gotten on anything! And nothing extra for shipping! My son-in-law came on Wednesday and installed it. My grandson had said to give him a call and he would come, but since Bruce was here, he said he would do it. Haven't tried oven yet, but may today.

I have the owner's booklet and went to Whirlpool.com. I found the list of codes and determined I needed a new part. I tried to get the part locally without luck. I found your website and ordered my part. I ordered the part late afternoon on Wednesday and received it in the mail on Thursday, 

Watched your on line video. very simple to fix once I found out what the problem was. Had it fixed in 15 minutes.
