How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007578 / WP308180 Oven Bake Element

The oven bake element burned out on my 25 year old range. Searched online and found Appliance Parts Pros. Confirmed with a live chat pro that the element I found would fit my oven, ordered the part, shipped on Monday and arrived on Tuesday! Watched the repair video on APP, which I found extremely helpful. UNPLUGGED the range first.I also removed the oven door. Obviously not a necessary step, but for me it made it easier to reach the back of the oven. Removed the two screws on the plate. Also, used tips from other reviewers by clipping the wires with wooden clothes pins so not to lose them behind the oven, and having needle nose pliers handy for removing connectors if they were stubborn. Installed the new element, reversing the procedure, and just like magic--FIXED! Thank you Appliance Parts Pros for fast, efficient, professional service!! 

Order a new part from Appliance Parts Pros and it came amazingly fast. I followed their video instructions and fixed my oven in about 10 min. 

Ordered the part which was promptly delivered, installed in about 2 minutes and was able to start baking again. 

Replaced it 

A friend recommended that I order the part of AppliancePartsPro.com. I searched to find the page found our part, ordered it and it was here the next business day. My husband placed the clamps in place, screwed the back plate on and we were ready to go. It was a very simple process. 

Ordered new element and installed it. Everything fit exactly as it was suppose to. Thanks for the service y'all provide. 

Replaced element as directed in video by appliance part pro 

I ordered a new oven element. However, the electrical connectors were not included. I went to several places and only found cheaper connectors. However, I was luck enough to scrounged around my junk and found two that would work. I wanted a connector that first clamed the wire and a second clamp to secure the wire jacket. That would be a copy of the original connectors. I could not find these connectors on the original parts list. The connectors that I did find my have worked just fine, but I an picky. After all, it is 240 volts. My wife is happy with a working over. 

Install new 

Remove two screws and unplug two electric connections to remove the element. Reverse the process to install the new element.
