Replaced the two water inlet valves. Thanks to the input of one of the experts at AppliancePartsPros.com. We had first got an appliance repair person here--he replaced a module in the ice maker, dismissed my concerns about excess water entering the ice maker and causing our problems. The first thing the repair guy asked about was whether we had a water softener, which we didn't, but which we shortly bought and installed. The result was ongoing problems with our ice maker for weeks. Then we pulled the fridge out and found the leaks. After a bit of searching, we found Appliance Parts Repair Pros. They strongly suggested I buy the two solenoids involved in the water inlet. I purchased the parts, tracking showed they had reached a nearby town, but they hadn't arrived here. After lots of hassle with the shipper, a damaged package was finally delivered with broken parts. I contacted C.S. at AppliancePartsPros, sent them a picture of the damaged package and parts, and a very a few days later new parts arrived with no fuss and bother--they were sent out the same day I contacted ARP. By using their repair videos before starting, the repair was done in less than an hour. The refrigerator is now working like new at less than 1/2 the price and less than 1/10 the time of repair. Excellent company--AppliancePartsPros.com!
