How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3094541 / 285805 Washer Water Inlet Valve

Ordered parts on Sunday. Shipped on Monday. Arrived before noon Wednesday. Socket driver, pliers, and screwdriver 

Ordered the part from appliancepartspros. It was an amazing deal ($12), shipping was reasonable and it arrived very quickly. I used the video on the product page to help me complete the repair - it was very helpful. I am fairly handy, but i think almost anyone could do this repair. Great experience - I thought I was going to have to find $500 for a new washer, but $20 and 20 minutes got it fixed. Impressed the wife too.

I replaced the water inlet valve. 

I ordered both the water inlet valve and the Switch-WL. As researching I was thinking that I would replace both. Your video on repairing was extremely helpful. Being a woman didn't prevent me from repairing myself. It was very easy. Back up and washing within 30 minutes. 

Video was super helpful, otherwise I'm not sure I would have known how to pull the enclosure. Repair went smoothly, less than 30 min, including dust removal from interior. 

I ordered this water inlet valve, thinking that I would then hire someone to install it. But then I viewed the DIY video, and decided that Matt made it look doable. The video covered everything we needed to know to do this repair ourselves. Now, our 30-plus year old washing machine is working great! 

I ordered a replacement Water Inlet Valve from Appliance Parts Pros and Watched the AppliancePartsPros repair video. It took about an hour, and I was able to remove the old water inlet valve and install a new Water Inlet Valve, as well as the included Universal Adapter Plate. I took video of Before and After repair and have shown a few friends already. A huge difference!!! This worked very well and I thank Appliance Parts Pros for their excellent service and information.
