How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3094541 / 285805 Washer Water Inlet Valve

Watched u tube video. Ordered replacement water inlet valve and new hoses. Dismantled washer and replaced defective valve and installed new hoses. The repair went very easily and the washer worked perfectly as a result. 

Ordered new inlet valve online and cleaned/ cleared connecting parts while waiting for part arrival! Part worked great- saving me from having to buy new washer. 

Easy to replace, but make sure to watch a video on how to access the water valve. Simple, but a lot of time would be wasted if you try any other way. 

I replaced the water inlet valve. 

Ordered new water inlet valve and installed it. 

Looked up problem on internet, checked to make sure little screens were clear, and they were. So no clogs. Next was the water valve. I looked up the part on the internet and up came appliancepartspros.com (now bookmarked in my favorites). I checked to make sure the part was correct, watched the how to install video on the page. I placed the order, was delivered end of next day. The install went smooth because of the instructional video provided by appliancepartspros.com. The washer is working fine again. We replaced the faulty valve with the one we bought from AppliancePartsPros.com. 

Changed the water inlet valve. Super easy to do. It was either that, or pay a repair person ~$200 or buy a new washer.

Watched video on ApplinacePartsPros.com and figured even with my limited handyman skills it was something I could tackle. Ordered the part and it came in two days! The install took me about an hour. It was not as easy as the video made it look. Probably because I had some difficulty getting the cover off the machine. Once that was done I dropped one of the spring clips under the washer, ok, no problem, I can find it later. I then dropped the screw holding the back panel into a small crevice that was difficult to get to, but I got it. The repair was fairly easy after my initial drops. Washer works fine now! This is the second time I fixed a washer with parts from Appliance PartsPro. Both repairs saved me big $$$!!
