How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4567828 / W10337780 Water Level Switch Kit

Bought switch from AppliancePartsPros and used their video to replace it. Works perfectly! 

Ordered a replacement switch from you guys on Wed. evening and received the switch on Friday afternoon. That is and extremely rapid response and the total cost was less than any switch that I could have purchased locally. 

Ordered the new switch kit , showed up in two day, with help of the video on your site was able to replace the switch and while I had the machine apart I cleaned the top of the tub and water inlet . Amazing how much scum and debris catches on the top on the tub. Replaced washers on water inlet hoses and put evert hinges back together. The washing machine works like a new machine at a minimal cost. Thanks for having your site. Have already purchased another part this time for my range. 

Replaced pressure switch 

Followed video instructions. Need to see if truly fixed and trustworthy after a few more monitored wash days. Was surprised that the wash machine does not have a safety mechanism to prevent overflows. The hassle with the job was moving the dryer out of the way to move the wash machine to where there was enough room to disassemble the washer. 

Since my washer is located on the 2nd floor, my house flooded pretty quickly. I'm assuming that since the washed didn't shut off that there was a problem with the pressure switch. The washer is 15 years old and I decided to repair it myself. I ordered several parts from appliancepartspro.com to repair the issue and replace other parts such as hoses, water inlet valves and the pump because we also have very hard water. Water was gushing from under washer. Went online to research problem. After review I removed cabinet and discovered that mice had eaten through 2 hoses. Ordered replacement hoses and installed then (easy). Filled tub to test hoses and it overflowed (great!!). Going back online discovered AppliancePartsPros video on pressure switch replacement procedure. I ordered the parts (arrived next day... surprise), and installed in less than 5 minutes. I was a bit intimidated at first about doing DIY; but removing the cabinet requires removing 2 plastic trim pieces, 2 screws, 2 spring clips, tilting cabinet forward about 15 degrees and lift off. Tools required were a Philips and blade screwdriver, and pair of pliers. Replacing the switch was very simple... watch the video. Robert
