It all started looking for a lint filter for the dryer. The filter was ripped across the top and no longer useful for its intended function. I Googled "MDE6000AZW Lint Filter" and one of the first few hits was Appliance Parts Pros. I clicked through and saw that there were other parts available for my machine. That got me thinking maybe the squeaky bits and pieces are replaceable too. I started to watch Matt's videos on replacing the guts of my dryer and figured $500+ CDN for a new dryer or $145 CDN for all new guts. I'm not cheap or frugal, but this thing works like a dream. A new one is sure to breakdown well inside 14 years onward. So, I ordered two drum rollers, two roller axles, drum bearings, a new belt and of course, a lint filter. I figured from Matt's videos that it was likely one of the roller wheels, but since I was going to be opening it up, I might as well replace all the moving parts anyway. Shipping to Niagara Falls, NY was super fast. Everything was a piece of cake to remove and replace. It took about 2 hours with the bride's help, but we cleaned every bit and piece we took off and gave the inside a good going-over too.
