We ordered the motor and watched the youtube video on how to replace the motor. I want to start with the disclaimer that my husband is in his 70's and the absolute least handy person in the world yet he wanted to be the person that did all the steps while I watched the steps on youtube and tried to explain to him how./what to do. The first time we tried it the drum was too tight and the motor wouldn't turn it. We ended up taking everything apart and watching youtube again. This time hubby reluctantly let me check each step he was doing. We discovered he didn't put the motor in the proper groove. Once that was corrected we were able to put all the parts back and were very happy to plug it in and hear the dryer running properly! I want to say that if the motor would have been put in the proper groove the first time I'd been able to claim this project would take about 1 1/2 hours for someone as inexperienced as we are. I'm thankful that we saved a good $300.00 on what the estimate was from a repairman!
