I have a Maytag Model PTB1952GRQ Serial Number 11003378AJ Top / Bottom refrigerator. It suddenly stopped working and would no longer be freezing / cooling as a result of a failure of the compressor not starting. I was very upset and went to the web site of appliancepartspros.that had a lot of helpful information available. I also visited many other sites and researched / read and looked at all kinds of information on the we sites. A lot of information was pointing to the fact that the Overload/Relay on my compressor must have given up and got damaged as a result. I went ahead and ordered that part on Sunday. All this time till I got the part delivered to me by Tuesday I made sure not to open the refrigerator too much. I disposed off as much food and items I had in the freezer section and refrigerator that I suspected that had gone bad or was no good to keep. I went ahead and read all the instructions and web site tips on how to go about replacing these parts that I had received and within about half an hour I was able to complete the repair. I then turned on the power to the unit and turned it on by setting both the control dials in the refrigerator section to number seven the highest. As soon as I did that a very quiet and smooth starting sound came about from the rear of the refrigerator that meant that the compressor had kicked on with no problems at all. This made me feel so happy and I then kept monitoring the temperature in both the freezer and the refrigerator. I filled both trays for ice and observed them becoming frozen and ice forming. This is when I felt that the job was a success. Today is now Friday and it is still working fine. I am so happy to find a web site that was able to provide me with reliable information to figure out my problem and also supply me with the parts with accurate and good details to finish the repairs. I will use them all the time.
