Called Sears repair; mechanic confirmed it was agitator cogs, and he tried to take it apart, but told me that the agitator was seized. I had to pay service charge and noticed that he left the insulator pad off of the bottom of unit.
The next morning when I had some time I took the agitator off myself. It was SO EASY!! What is wrong with mechanics nowdays? I ordered short cam kit and received them the next day. I put them in in about 60 seconds and machine was up and running in about 5 more minutes.
Appliance Parts Pros.com was a lifesaver. Now I want SEARS to refund my money!
