We ordered front and rear heat control. Then removed the stove from the wall. Removed the small upper panel on the back of the stove. To make it easy t. I took the new part and swapped the wires from old to new in sequence so I would not get the wires crossed. Removed front control knobs and remove two cross tip screws per knob. Position new knob and install the screws. The wire connectors are the blade type and can be hard to remove so use a pair of needle-nose plyers to gently pull the wire off.
I would say this job is not easy or hard.
