Easy repair for the upper oven on a Caloric natural gas range model RSS-398. Vintage 1990. Disconnect the AC power before starting. Access to the bake ignitor wire connections requires removal of the upper Control/Clock/Timer panel. Remove the old bake ignitor and install new. Reconnect wires and replace panel.
Reconnect power. Taking care not to break something due to its age, the total repair time was about 20-25 minutes.
