Replaced belt, was a bit worn, idler pulley and support rollers since I had it torn apart. Runs much smoother and quieter now. The pulley was not free-wheeling at all, one or two of the support rollers were not rolling easily either. I suspect bang was bearing breaking, but still not sure what that was about.
