I was only replacing the drive block because it was the only thing I hadn’t done in the list of three things suggested to stop my washer from banging and walking during the spin cycle. I didn’t feel confident it was the problem. In the process of investigating the issue ( washer has new suspension springs and tub centering springs, though I believe it never had tub centering springs to begin with) I discovered that the dogs in the agitator were gummed up and likely not all opening at the same time, causing the agitator to not be centered during the spin cycle. Took them out, cleaned up the dogs, the dog housing and the agitator and she’s purring like a kitten!
