Daniel B Mayfield , PA October 28, 2014 The broiler element on my 18 year old ge stove burned out I shut the main power off to the stove. I then removed the 2 screws holding the element to the back of the stove. I pulled the element carefully out of the back of the stove and saw it was connected to 2 wires by 2 more screws. I removed those 2 screws. There were 2 more screws which hold the bracket that the element rests on in the stove. I removed them. I simply attached the new element back to the wires, inserted the unit into the back of the stove, reconnected the bracket, and I was ready to turn the power back on.
