Edward S Fort Worth , TX April 06, 2015 Broken light bulb changed all filters My LG microwave had a bad bulb. The Microwave is also acts as the hood for my stove so the hood bulb had broke into 2 pieces from the years of steam rising up from cooking. I took a pair of needle nose pliers with a 90 degree bend on the tips to remove the base of the bulb only after unpluging the microwave from the outlet. Once I got the base out of the socket it was a pretty easy fix as all I did was screw the bulb back into the socket. Grease filters under the microwave are very easy to change, They just slide out and slide a new one in. The Charcoal filter is located on top of the microwave and requires me to unbolt the microwave from it's cubby hole in order the change it. All in all this was a very easy job that took less the 30 minutes. I used my cordless hammer drill with a socket to remove the bolts holding the unit up.
