No instructions are included with either piece, which makes installation take more time and care.
Tools needed: Small standard flat blade screwdriver, box knife or other knife with at least a 2" long blade, super glue.
Remove the old main crisper frame:
1. Remove old main frame by lifting upward and outward.
2. Remove the center rail from the frame. May require bending of the main frame to remove
it.
3. Remove the crisper front panel by unsnapping from frame. This is easily done by lifting the
back edge.
4 Remove the two (2) vent slides. Unlock the slide vent on the underside of the frame, by lifting
the end opposite the handle to to unlock it from the slide guide. Line up the slide tabs and
guide slots and remove being careful not to damage the handle. Repeat.
5. Remove the metal channel from the frame. Looking on the underside of the frame just behind
the crisper slides, there is a white metal channel that is approx. 1/2" square that runs the
width of frame. Mine had a blue piece of tape helping secure it in place. Remove or cut the
tape. One end of the channel is locked in place by plastic tab on the main frame. Use a
screwdriver to lift and unlock the channel. Breaking this tab off is of no consequence if the
old frame is to be thrown away. I just broke mine off.
6. Remove two (2) small inserts from the sides of the main frame. You'll notice small somewhat
square inserts that are approx. 3/4" square from the end. The color is slightly off white. These
have a locking tab and tiny square guide pin noticeable from the opposite side of the frame.
Unlock the tab using a small flat blade screwdriver to pry and then push the insert out. Repeat.
7. Remove the same inserts from the center rail piece.
8. Remove the two (2) white foam pads from the outside edges of the frame. These pads are
approx. 3/4" x 1" x 3" long. Using a sharp razor knife or other blade, take your time and cut
the foam pad flush from the frame.
Install the new main frame and center rail.
This should be intuitive and the main frame and center rail easily installed once reassembly is accomplished. However, be careful to line up the tiny off white insert guide before pressing and locking the insert into place in the main frame and center rail. Then, I used super glue to reattach the white foam pads to the sides of the frame.
Good luck
