Even though the oven was probably nearly fifty years old, a comparable option came up and after talking with the helpful staff member on the phone, the bake element arrived the next day (express order) and I followed their directions to remove and replace This is a built-in oven so it was slightly different to replace. Took about 15 minutes to turn off the breaker; remove the nuts holding the old element inside the oven; pull it forward with the connected wiring; disconnect the screw holding the wiring to the element; put on a clothespin so the wire would not go back into the oven baxk; and reconnect to the new element.
