William D Raleigh , NC November 09, 2014 Bulb under ge profile burned out after 13 years AppliancePartsPros helped me find the model and serial number which led to the part number for the bulb. APP.com was $15 each from GE (I'm thinking they have made some effort to determine that it really is a GE part) vs. $1.40 and up from all the Usual Suspects on the web. Shipping was $6 so I bought 2 bulbs -- each a tiny glass envelope with two pins sticking out. I tucked a large towel around, beside and in back of the stove top so that when I dropped the bulb, it wouldn't drop behind or beside the range. If you line up the pins to the tiny socket holes and push straight in, the pins won't bend. Only dropped the bulb twice -- onto the towel. Hopefully they will go another 13 years.
