Order the replacement Infinite Control Switch. Easiest to disconnect and slide the range to an accessible location in the kitchen. Remove the knob from the affected switch, remove 2 side mounting star bit screws for the range plate as well as the 2 Phillips head screws securing the switch to the cover plate. There is a tab toward the center of the cover plate on the burner side that needs to be disengaged in order to completely remove the cover plate. You can accomplish this by pushing in on the center of the plastic insulation plate under the cover plate and lifting up on the cover plate. Once you have this clear you can remove the entire cover plate to access the switches. With the affected switch disconnected already you have access to that switch and the associated wiring. I recommend a wire for wire swap from the old switch to the new switch so there is no confusion about which wires go where. Mount the switch back on the cover plate before installing it back on the range and then securing it in place. Don't forget the tab needs to be placed correctly before securing the plate with screws.
