Ordered two new sensors, watched the video provided by AppliancePartsPros.com, and replaced the sensors. Took about one half hour and now they work like new. Our appliance repair man was at our house repairing the dishwasher when I mentioned that the burners would only stay on high heat. He suggested that we repair them ourselves, said it was an easy fix, and that if we had his appliance repair company do it, it would cost over $300! Cost us about $90+ for the two control switches. Parts arrived within 24 hours.
