After visiting with APP suggested agitator dogs. I got them but mine looked as good as the new. I did some internet research and went further down and took this part off. It’s plastic on metal so the splines on the plastic part were worn smooth. Replacement was so easy. I do suggest you cover all the little holes with a towel or something just in case you drop a bolt. I didn’t and had to fish it out with a tiny magnet. Stressful! I live where no repair person will come and none of them had brick and mortar stores where I could take it. I so appreciate APP for having people to visit with and especially for how quickly I get my parts. Next day even out in the middle of nowhere.
