Greg S Springfield , VA April 16, 2017 Appliance: Model 110.42922200 Code f06 no tub rotation washer would not start The wife said code F06 popped up during washing – no tub rotation. When attempting to restart, the washer would not start – water would run for a few seconds, stop and beep a few times. During the Diagnostic Tests C04, C05, C07 and C08 the tub should spin but did not. The Motor tested good. It measured 6.3 ohms across all 3 windings. The 3 black wires from the Motor Control Unit (MCU) had continuity to the motor terminals. The Tachometer pins measured 120 ohms (good). During the Motor Diagnostic Tests C04, etc., there was no a/c voltage measured across the 3 motor leads. A bad MCU was suspect. The Central Control Unit (CCU) unit was also good, it was providing voltage to the MCU. There was 120vac across the 2 pink wires on the MCU. There was also 5vdc across the outer 2 blue wires on the MCU. The MCU was therefore confirmed faulty. The video is excellent in showing how easy it is to remove and replace the MCU. Suggest applying a small amount of silicone grease or liquid soap to the MCU feet to allow the new MCU to slide in and lock in easier without binding. The washer is now working great! 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
