Although only the right bracket was broken, I figured I'd better order both left and right brackets, since both were in stock, and who knows what may happen. When they arrived, I unloaded the top shelf and removed it, and realized the drawer brackets had tabs that snapped into the shelf frame. I couldn't see how to get the old bracket out without applying too much force. I came back to this site for more ideas and maybe a diagram of how to take apart the shelf bracket without breaking it. I re-read the customer reviews that I'd quickly read when ordering, and suddenly I understood what another guy had said about installing left and right brackets on his number two shelf, and now it became his number one shelf. I pulled out the lower / second shelf, and snapped in place both left and right brackets, and slid this shelf into the upper level; and now the drawer works fine in its correct location.
