I read information in owners manual, and suspected it was the control panel. I called a service technician, because of self doubt. He proceeded to take the panel off the front of my freezer, cracked the faceplate, and said it would need replacing anyway. He was correct, and re-affirmed that a new panel is what needed to be ordered. The next day, he called me back with a price, I decided to check on parts myself, and ordered the panel. I could pop off the panel as well as he could, so I ordered the part, and within 2 days it arrived as promised, and snapped it into place. It is working like a charm now. Simple fix for a lot less than what they were going to charge. I do not have a problem with their service or fees, just that it was something I could do, and an accomplishment in my pocket.
