I order the grommet and cable from this website. It was cheap and shipping was very fast (~2days). I turned off the water going to fridge. My fridge has a valve that regulates the water coming in and splits it into two separate lines, one for water and one for ice. The valve is behind the fridge, small and hanging by a single small bolt. I unscrewed it and pulled out the black water line going to the fridge I had cut. I had a bucket and a cloth ready for any drips. I then unscrewed the plate holding the grommet in place behind the ice maker where the water line goes into the fridge from behind. I pulled off the grommet that was stuck on with adhesive and threw away the cable and grommet. I started installing the new grommet first but I didn't insert the grommet all the way, only halfway. I then installed the other end of the cable assembly and inserted it into the valve where the old cable was. It was a quick connector type so it just needed to be inserted. I screwed the valve back on and lastly removed the protective peel from the grommet exposing the adhesive and aligned it vertically so it would dispense water in the correct direction. I screwed on the plate and turned the water on. Checked for leaks, tightened any loose connections and let the ice maker make ice for a while to feed water through the line and dumping out that ice before using the ice.
