Knob was easy fix with needle nose pliers to pull out plastic key behind knob. To remove key, slightly pull out on knob.
Belt I replaced without the aligning tool. First time I tried with 1 zip tie and I broke it. I placed 2 zip ties on the belt to pulley, then I used a pry bar slid between and under the motor pulley and belt as a guide. I finally got in on and aligned. If I were to do it over I definitely would have purchased the alignment tool sold for belt installation, as this would have saved a good bit of time and made it much easier.
