This tube is very difficult to work with due to its location behind the cold plate. I loosened the two screws on the left, but there's no way to get the screws on the left loose. I cut the hose off of the pipe at the top of the cold plate and slowly worked it out.
The new tube comes folded in half, putting a bad crimp in the middle. The easiest way to get rid of the crimp is to pour boiling hot water onto the crimped area and then open up the tube. I didn't do it, but you might want to dry fit the tube onto the pipe at the top of the cold plate. It's a very tight fit, and I couldn't get the tube all the way on after I got the tube in place. I used a little petroleum jelly on the outside of the tube and used a hair dryer to make it a little more pliable while working it into the ice maker. I worked from the bottom up to place the tube. It took some wiggling, but I was finally able to get the tube to make the turn. After that, it went well from there.
One thing of note, the pump has been changed with the wire now coming out of the opposite side compared to the original pump. The installation is not difficult, but there is no slack in the wire when plugging it into the panel.
