Sharing this story because all the google/youtube videos talk about replacing the water inlet, cleaning filters, or replacing the circulation pump. I tested/did all three and none of it helped.
Reading the descriptions of the parts on AppliancePartsPros.com led me to realize that it could be an issue with the Diverter. I still wasn't sure and asked a question about it. The helpful staff here suggested testing the continuity of the Diverter pump. I did using a multimeter and watching a youtube video and discovered that it was indeed dead. Bought the replacement part and now everything works like a charm!
The diverter was hard for me to put back on. I ended up using the original gasket seal instead of the new one that came with the diverter because it was "squished" already and allowed me to screw in the new diverter. For a while, I thought there was a trick to it but really it is just lining it up and turning until it clicks. Just make sure the gasket is already set on the sump and you can push the diverter into the sump enough to turn.
The only video I found to help me is here - https://youtu.be/giH191mUWP8.
Maybe AppliancePartsPros.com has one too but I couldn't find it. The new part did not go on with ease like it did in that video.
