After watching the videos at AppliancePartsPros, I ordered the correct parts. When they arrived, I collected my tools together, and got started. I first turned off the circuit for the dishwasher and turned off the water as instructed. I then unscrewed the front panel of the dishwasher, set the screws aside in order, and set the front panel aside. I needed help from my husband to pop the one part free from the backside of the detergent dispenser and placed the tape to hold the other parts in place. From the front side, I removed the old trigger mechanism and ring, cleaned the opening and inserted the new pieces. After that I removed the tape from the back side after making sure the piece was fully pressed into place. I then replaced the front panel of the dishwasher. I needed my husband's help again holding the stainless steel door panel in place to get the first screws in to hold it in place. Once that was done I set the new spring in place and replaced the detergent door. My husband's help was once again needed to pop the spring into place on the door. And voila! It was done.
