Replaced. Much easier if you remove door. Extra 1 1/2 inches means a lot. Be careful not to disconnect door cables. Leave back mounting screw in place on mounting bracket. Just loosen. If you have copper water line make sure fitting on part is aligned the same on new part. Not difficult. Tight working space.
