Kent W Ann Arbor , MI February 01, 2023 Appliance: Model 6657738121677993 The dishwasher wouldn't turn on. The dishwasher was a 32-year-old Kenmore. I ordered a new Door Switch with a wiring harness. The old connector was corroded. When I removed the inner panel to access the door switch, I noticed that the metal frame had completely rusted through and would no longer hold the outer control panel. I patched it with some scrap lumber and duct tape, replaced the door switch and wiring, and put the inner panel back on. Works fine now. Hopefully, we'll get another 32 years out of it.
