I ordered a new solenoid and when it arrived, I installed it as follows: I cut the power to the refrigerator. I then pulled off the rubber boot (and it's plastic frame) that covers the water switch. Then I removed the bezel that covers the front of the ice maker controls by pulling it straight out. Then I removed the four screws found on the assembly under the bezel. After pulling the assembly forward a bit, I detached the multi-wire connector attached to it and put the assembly aside. After removing the electrical connection to the solenoid, I removed the three screws located at the lower part of the solenoid. I then loosened a screw (partially hidden) near the top of the solenoid in the corner of the compartment (get a flashlight to see this) and removed the solenoid. Reassembly followed the reverse procedure. Have fun.
