Installed a new latch assembly.
The video was very helpful, and the reason I bought from AppliancePartsPros. The hiccup I had was not tucking the wiring in properly the first time, resulting in the top panel not lying flush when closed.
The OEM latch "Made in Germany" lasted 13 years. APP's replacement appears similar in initial quality, time will tell how durable it is.
Thanks again for the video. Without it, I wouldn't have had the courage to attempt the repair myself.
