The overal repair took about 35 minutes. Unplug the refrigerator. I took the back panel off and unattached the water line from the back panel. I unplugged the wires from the fan. The hardest part is getting the fan housing out from the drip pan. you need to unsnap the drip pan from the frig so it can move just a bit. working the fan by tilting the top forward the bottom back and to the side until you get it free from the pan and then just pull it out. when you remove the pan make sure you move the copper line out of the way and don't break the drain tub thats attached to the pan. When I put everything back in it seamed to just fall into place. just take your time and work the fan slow until you get it back into place.
