Watched some videos on YouTube on how to repair a broken dryer. Was able to diagnose the issue and what parts I needed and how to repair it. Then did a search on the web for parts. I found appliancepartspros.com to be a very helpful site. I watched their videos and figured it was a job I could handle. The parts I needed came in one nice little kit, I only had to add the felt liner as I knew mine had been damaged from the bad drum roller. Replacing the parts was absolutely simple. Disassembling and reassembling the dryer was much more difficult. I realized that when disassembling the dryer was different from the ones seen in the videos. Mine was a Kenmore HE3 Elite, the demos were of a Duet model. However through trial and error I was able to disassemble, repair, and reassemble. Overall it took several hours and a few cuts on my hands. I used one 1/4 inch socket and a Phillips screwdriver, nothing else. I would say this is of moderate difficulty, I would not recommend it to someone who has not done a lot of DIY work around the house.
And, the parts arrived in about 36 hours and were exactly as advertised.
