Replaced heating element assembly and as long as I had it apart, replaced the drum drive belt as well.
It does take some time to disassemble the dryer cabinet and remove the drum, but it is not complicated. Take a picture of the wiring before removal just in case you’re unsure which wire goes where during reassembly. Only tool I needed was a Phillips head screwdriver. I also used needle nose pliers to pull the electrical connectors from the heating element.
