Easy repair. First I opened the bottom panel, accessed the thermal fuse, and tested it with a multimeter. The fuse was ok, so I removed the heating element and noticed that it had a broken coil. It only took three screws to remove and two wires to disconnect. While I had the unit open, I also vacuumed the lint from inside the housing. The replacement element arrived in two days and fit perfectly.
