Dryer was not working. When I would hit the start button, I could hear activity in the timer but it wasn't starting. I was concerned I would need to replace the timer which is a rather more expensive piece. Information on this website led me to think that it might be this thermal fuse. I ordered it, received it, replaced it and it started right up! Thank goodness! I did purchase and learn how to use a multimeter to test the old piece. That was extremely beneficial in helping me feel pretty confident that the problem was the thermal fuse.
