LG Frontload Dryer wouldn't heat.
I looked at heater assemblies online, and saw they were about $100 for the OEM part. I found the same exact LG model dryer on Craigslist for $60 (that would not spin) so I took a chance that between the 2, I could get a good dryer.
Got the craigs dryer, and it would power on but not spin. I thought hmm, if the door is open it won't spin- so it probably *thinks* the door is open. I So I removed the switch, and manually shorted it. Boom goes the dynamite- the dryer spun right up!
So I ordered the switch from appliancepartspros for only $15, it arrived in 1 day, and I moved her non-heating dryer out and the craigslist dryer in. Now she's back in business. And I'm waiting for a 3rd party dryer to show up at the seller, next week, for $42.
Not bad, an $800 dryer for $75!
