I ordered a thermistor (the internet said this would be the problem). Got the dryer apart (I also found the super secret instructions to repair stuff (it is in a plastic envelope INSIDE the dryer). It said the problem would be the thermistor or melted wires (that attach to the thermistor). The problem was melted wires. I separated the wires and re-taped them. I also removed $18.73 in change (the money slipped though the lint trap, landed on the wires, heated up, and eventually melted through the insulation. The moral of the story? keep a change jar by the washer and go though all pockets before washing, and vacuum out the guts of your dryer about every five years!
