I started by searching Google to find a cause for a very harsh “out of balance” vibration. Besides the obvious reasons such as uneven load or a leveling foot not touching the floor, the thing that came up the most was “broken spider”. Searching for “how to replace broken spider” led me to several YouTube videos showing the procedure. The video provided by Appliance Parts Pros was the most thorough and easy to follow. It also provided a link to the APP website.
I disassembled the washer to identify which parts were needed for the repair. On the website, I entered the model number for our washer and a page with the correct parts was displayed. I ordered the items I needed and everything arrived on the third day, Referring back to the video, I followed the steps to reassemble the washer.
Sorry about not having the model number. The washer is already back in place and I don’t want to pull it back out again. It is a Samsung front load model.
