Disconnected the power. Removed the top of the washer and then the control board with a 1/4" nut driver. There is a tab underneath the control board that you will have to depress so that the control board will slide out. Disconnect the wiring harness from the defective controller and reconnect when the new controller is in place and secure. The correct part arrived on time and worked as promised.
