My wife called my attention to the fact that the dishwasher door was falling open to easily. This seemed to coincide with her finding a rubber part laying on the kitchen floor. Investigation on Appliance Parts Pros confirmed that this rubber pad was indeed part of the door friction function, and that I had two such pads on my machine. Based on the installation video it seemed expedient to replace both pads at the same time. After all whatever caused on pad to fail could cause the other one to fail as well. I ordered the parts and received them within two days, despite the Christmas mail rush. They went on just as the video showed and now my dishwasher door opens slowly and smoothly and my wife is happy too. Seems like a great Christmas present for me.
